The Debaters Live & Steaming is the virtual version of the popular comedy format made famous on CBC radio. Hosted by award-winning comedian and veteran host, Steve Patterson, the Debaters Live & Streaming is an online show where Canadian stand-up comedy stars go toe-to-toe on a debate topic tailor-made for your audience. It’s an interactive show filled with funny and fact crafted specifically for you, where your online audience votes in real-time to pick the winner. 

Over the years The Debaters Live’s compelling mix of laughs and logic has been an in-person hit at trade shows and conventions, with a list of clients that includes medical professionals, construction workers, realtors, bankers, teachers and librarians, just to name a few.

The produced Debaters Live & Streaming feed can be integrated into any online video or conference platform, such as Hopin, Zoom, or Google Meet. Cast members join a central “backstage area” controlled by our production team and that is sent onto the client’s system complete with our variety of screen layouts, sound cues, and video cues. With our custom software, the audience is treated to a show that more resembles a television broadcast than a video conference.

By default, each performer joins the stream from the safety of their own homes. This keeps costs down and means we’re not dependent on ever-changing public health and safety protocols.

If needed, we can provide or recommend a platform to be used for the event. Our proprietary website allows for real-time voting and results to display right in the video feed as they come in.
